4. Mindset - The New Psychology of Success

In her book, "Mindset - The New Psychology of Success," Carol S. Dweck, Ph.D., introduces us to the Power of Our Beliefs. She writes, "For thirty years, my research has shown that the view you adopt for yourself profoundly affects the way you lead your life. It can determine whether you become the person you want to be and whether you accomplish the things you value. How does this happen? How can a simple belief have the power to transform your psychology and, as a result, your life?"

What relevance do our beliefs have to the term Mindset? What is the difference? A Mindset is a set of beliefs that govern our lives, meaning our Beliefs and Mindsets will govern our acts, words, and gestures, to keep it simple, not to mention our Quality of Life, Self-Esteem, and the Company We Keep. We can simplify the relationship between a Belief and a Mindset by saying that a Belief is a baby in progress, while a Mindset is the adult form. Hence, our sages label our Mindset as Mental Fortress, because once they turn from a mere "undefended" Belief to a Mindset, it is impossible to defeat. Once a Belief turns into a "demon" or an "angel"— to expand our perspective, there is nothing to do but to visit a professional in Mental Health. Therefore, we must be cautious about our Beliefs, Religions, and Mindsets. We must ask questions like, Is this Belief, Mindset, or Religion beneficial to my empire or satisfying my corporeal, biological, and financial needs? As a collective soul, we must understand that the Purpose of the Creator, whoever He is, when He created the Universe, was to satisfy His Creatures.

Any other Mindset is counterproductive. The Purpose of the Creation is for the Creatures to be happy or fulfilled. Period. The quality of our lives will depend on this Mindset, Mentality, or Belief. We are not here to Love Unconditionally unless we agree with the other person that we will receive the same Love and Respect in return. We are here to satisfy or fulfill our Spiritual and Corporeal Needs. So, the baby step to achieving our life purpose, needs, or dreams is to have a Strong-Healthy-Proactive Mindset. How do I perceive myself? As a King's Son, or a Servant's Son? Who am I? From my Perspective or Mindset. Our Beliefs (Mindset) about ourselves will determine whether we live a mediocre or an abundant life. What do you want? Do you want a mediocre life or an abundant life? So, start by examining your Mindsets, Beliefs, and Religion.
